Now, if you’re doing everything for someone, making big sacrifices for them but they still treat you badly or as though you don’t count all that much with them, then there’s something wrong with the relationship. They could be selfish and using you, or maybe you’re co-dependent or something. If people don’t value you, it’s time to find new people who will. If you’re in a serious relationship or married and you feel undervalued then maybe it’s time for a talk, a heart-to-heart with your SO, to rectify the problem, which may only be a transient thing (e.g. he or she is under pressure at work and devoting more time to it than usual with you feeling left out etc.).
